The cuvée Elegance by Lyonnat is a red wine dominated by Merlot, famous grape of the right bank of Bordeaux, which gives it gourmet aromas of red fruits. Blended with Cabernet Sauvignon we obtain a generous and fruity wine.
The vintage
This year was marked by a warm and rainy winter that ended in a beautiful summer and a dry and sunny early autumn allowing the grapes to reach maturity. Fears due to hail episodes during the month of May which fortunately remained inconsequential.
Terroir
Located in Lussac on the right bank of Bordeaux, the vines cover 6 hectares, the soil of which is composed of clay, chalk and sand. The grape varieties cultivated are Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon.
In the vineyard
The harvest is carried out by the harvesting machine.
Winemaking
This wine is the result of a traditional Bordeaux vinification with alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in thermoregulated concrete tanks after a maceration of 3 weeks.
Ageing
Maturing of 9 months in concrete tank to preserve the roundness of the fruit.
